The two models are matched to each other and together cover the whole table. The 25 cl wine glass has a slender stem and a bowl that tapers slightly towards the rim, which keeps the aroma together. That capacity automatically keeps the pour modest, meaning a glass of white wine stays cool until you have finished it. The 32 cl tumbler stands low and wide beside it: a flat base, a low centre of gravity and plenty of room for ice next to a generous pour. The cut work also gives grip, and that makes a noticeable difference on a glass with condensation on the outside.

The 25 cl wine glass is a table glass for white and rosé wine, and the size makes it perfectly suitable for water with a meal too. The 32 cl tumbler is the workhorse of the two: water, soft drinks, iced coffee and mixed drinks with plenty of ice. For a mojito this is exactly the right size, because you can press the mint down on the base without the glass becoming too narrow. A glass of sangria with fruit in it fits just as well.

Rendez-Vous is made in clear glass to hospitality standard and is intended for daily rotation, not just for the Sunday table. The glasses can go in the dishwasher on a glassware programme; afterwards let them steam dry on a rack rather than putting them straight away. Cut glass holds limescale slightly longer than smooth glass, because water sits in the grooves. With hard water a rinse aid helps, or dry with a lint-free cloth. Always pick up stemmed glasses by the bottom.
