Bar accessories are the things you only think of when they're missing. A napkin holder that stays put. A cutting board that fits on the bar, a squeeze bottle for syrup, a glass rack for draining wet glasses, and a crate for transporting them.
They won't make your drink taste better. But they do determine whether a shift runs smoothly. Here you'll find all the supporting gear for behind the bar, from soda siphons and training bottles to stirrers, crates, and racks. If you want to buy bar accessories, first see what's missing from the way you work.

How big should a glass rack be?
For a home bar or a narrow washing area, a 30 cm rack is enough. A 40 cm rack is for hospitality venues. It holds more glasses at once, but you’ll also need more counter space.
Why use a squeeze bottle for syrup?
A squeeze bottle lets you dispense with one hand and keep the other free. You can also see at a glance how much is left. They come in 35 and 70 cl sizes. Empty them every day to prevent sugar from drying in the nozzle.
How do you dry glasses without a musty smell?
Place wet glasses upside down on a glass rack, not on a cloth, so air can circulate around them. A damp cloth holds on to odors. The glass will also dry unevenly and get streaks.
Can plastic bar accessories go in the dishwasher?
Usually, yes, if the material is food-safe and dishwasher-safe. Keep in mind that citric acid can discolor plastic over time. Rubber and silicone absorb odors. Replace them if they become sticky or dull.
