The question is which part of the bar you want to dress. If you only want to serve, the 34 cl tumbler and the 37 cl long drink glass will do. The tumbler has the wide opening and heavy base you want for drinks over ice; the long drink glass is narrower and taller, so a mixed drink keeps its fizz for longer.

If you want to mix as well, the 65 cl mixing glass and the jigger are the most interesting. A mixing glass of that size takes a double measure plus ice without you going over the rim while stirring. The jigger measures 3 and 6 cl, the amounts most classic recipes work with. The wider selection is with the jiggers and bar measures.

Stir a Negroni in the mixing glass with large ice cubes and a bar spoon, for about thirty seconds, then strain it over a fresh cube in the 34 cl tumbler. Stirring rather than shaking keeps the drink clear, which with an engraved glass is the whole point.

Fill the 42 cl Moscow Mule glass completely with ice first and only then with the drink. In that glass you can layer a Dark 'n Stormy: ginger beer over the ice first, then the dark rum poured gently on top.

The engraving is cut into the glass rather than applied to it, so nothing can wear off or come loose. What can happen is that limescale builds up more easily in the deeper cuts if you use hard water and let the glasses air dry.

Use rinse aid for that reason. The Luxion crystal is lead-free and hard enough for the dishwasher, but store the carafe upright so no water stays behind in the neck.
