Let the serving style determine the size. A cocktail without ice goes in the 15 cl glass or the 22 cl martini glass, small enough to stay cold until the last sip. For gin and tonic, use the 75 cl gin glass, where plenty of ice and botanicals still leave room. Whisky and anything served over a large cube goes in the 45 cl double tumbler. Chill a cocktail glass before you pour: fill it with ice and water, set it aside while you stir or shake, and empty it just before serving.
