Licor 43 Horchata
Licor 43 Original meets horchata, the ice-cold tigernut drink from Valencia. Creamy but plant-based, light and Mediterranean: tigernut, cinnamon and citrus, at 16%. Best enjoyed straight from the fridge.

A Valencian summer drink with a splash of 43
Horchata is a traditional drink from Valencia, made from tigernuts, the small tubers known as chufa in Spanish. Licor 43 Horchata is a fusion of this traditional horchata with Licor 43 Original. The vanilla and citrus of the yellow bottle are still recognizable, but the result is light, creamy and silky smooth.
At 16% alcohol, it's half as strong as the Original, which is 31%. It's creamy but plant-based: its creaminess comes from tigernut horchata, not cream. That makes it less heavy and sweet than most cream liqueurs: the tigernut adds a nutty note, the cinnamon brings warmth, and the citrus keeps it fresh. That's why it's best enjoyed ice-cold, neat or with coffee.

How to drink Licor 43 Horchata
This liqueur is at its best as a refresher: chilled, over ice, and with coffee if you like.
Ice-cold from the freezer
Put the bottle in the freezer for an hour and pour 40 ml into a small, chilled liqueur glass. The cold makes it syrupy and brings out the tiger nut beautifully.
Glass: liqueur glass →Horchata Carajillo
40 ml of Licor 43 Horchata and a shot of fresh espresso, shaken briefly and vigorously with ice, then poured over ice in a tumbler. Creamier and smoother than the classic Carajillo.

Fill a long drink glass with ice, pour in 120 ml of cold coffee, then slowly pour 50 ml of Horchata over it. A summery iced coffee with cinnamon and a smooth splash.
Long drink glasses →Cocktails with Licor 43 Horchata
Tiger nut and cinnamon pair beautifully with coffee. It also easily replaces cream in creamy vodka cocktails.

Horchata Carajillo
Espresso and Licor 43, shaken with ice. Horchata makes it smoother and creamier.
Espresso Martini
Vodka, espresso, and coffee liqueur. Swap the coffee liqueur for Horchata for a nutty foam.
White Russian
Vodka and coffee liqueur over ice, with Horchata instead of cream. Lighter, with a hint of cinnamon.
