A smoked cocktail only works if you can repeat the smoking process, glass after glass. This Bar Professional Speakeasy set brings together everything you need for that: a wooden smoker, a torch, and wood chips, stored in a single wooden case. So you do not have to search separately for the right components, and you can set up the complete station on the bar in one go. The whole set measures approximately 28 x 22 cm, making it compact enough to stand beside your mise en place.
How to smoke a drink
Place a small amount of chips in the smoker's chamber, position the smoker over your glass or carafe, and ignite the chips with the torch. Within seconds, the space above the drink fills with smoke; let it sit for half a minute to a full minute, then serve immediately so the aroma is still lingering in the glass when the guest picks it up. The longer you let it infuse, the stronger the smoky character. If you work with whisky, mezcal, or a mature rum, it enhances the woody notes already present. In an Old Fashioned or a Negroni, it creates a distinctive accent that keeps guests coming back.
Maintenance
Let the smoker cool completely before cleaning it. Tap out the ash and wipe the wood dry afterward; the components are not dishwasher-safe and last longest with manual care. Store everything in the case to keep the torch and chips dry. The set is part of the Bar Professional series and complements the other cocktail smokers.
