Sourz Blackcurrant
Deep purple and a little less sweet than its red sisters. Sourz Blackcurrant has the full flavor of blackcurrant with a tart finish, making it the Sourz that pairs best with tonic and bubbles.

Cassis with a tart twist
Sourz Blackcurrant is made with blackcurrant, the fruit you know from crème de cassis. The difference lies in the finish: while cassis is heavy and sweet, Blackcurrant finishes fresh and tart, like all Sourz. The alcohol content is 15%.
This combination makes it less sweet than Red Berry and works well in drinks with a hint of bitterness or dryness. With tonic, you get a purple highball with depth; with bubbles, a fresher Kir Royale; and in a Bramble, it takes the place of blackberry liqueur.
In brief
Dark fruit, dry and sour
Blackcurrant
Dark and fruity, with the characteristic aroma of blackcurrant and a hint of candy.
Full-bodied and tart
Rich berry fruit, sweet but not sticky, followed by a fresh, tart zing.
Dry and short
A drier finish than the red flavors. That’s exactly why it stays fresh in a mix.
Ice-cold Sourz Blackcurrant flavor profile. Tonic brings out the berry’s dry, bitter character.
How to serve Blackcurrant: tonic, bubbles or straight
Blackcurrant calls for something bitter or bubbly alongside it. That brings out the blackcurrant at its best.
Blackcurrant Tonic
40 ml of Sourz Blackcurrant and 150 ml of tonic in a large gin and tonic glass filled with ice, garnished with a slice of lemon. Purple, fresh, and slightly bitter.
Gin and tonic glasses →With bubbles
Pour 20 ml of Blackcurrant into a coupe or flute and top up with 100 ml of chilled prosecco or cava. A fresher, more sour Kir Royale.
Go to Kir Royale →As a shot
3 cl, ice-cold from the freezer, in a shot glass. Its drier finish makes this the Sourz shot for anyone who doesn't like things too sweet.
Shot glasses →Cocktails made for blackcurrant
You can try Blackcurrant in any recipe that calls for cassis or blackberry liqueur. The result is fresher and slightly more sour.

Kir Royale
Cassis topped up with champagne. Blackcurrant makes it less sweet and adds a sour edge.
Bramble
Gin, lemon, and sugar over crushed ice, drizzled with a dark liqueur. Blackcurrant takes its place.
Purple Rain
Vodka and blue curaçao with a touch of red make it purple. With Blackcurrant as the red element, it takes on a deeper color and a fresher taste.
Blackcurrant gin and tonic
A classic gin and tonic with 1 cl of Blackcurrant. Fruitier, purpler, and still dry.More Sourz flavors
