Casamigos Reposado
The middle one of the three Casamigos tequilas: seven months in American oak, long enough for caramel and cocoa, short enough to let the agave speak. A pleasure neat, and a little rounder in an Old Fashioned or Margarita.

Seven months of resting in whiskey barrels
Reposado means "rested": a tequila that has spent some time in wood. Casamigos Reposado is made from 100% blue agave from the highlands around Atotonilco El Alto in Jalisco and is aged for seven months in American oak barrels that previously held premium whiskey. The wood gives it a light gold color and notes of oak, caramel and cocoa.
Compared with the Blanco, which is unaged and fresh, the Reposado is rounder and warmer. Compared with the Añejo, which is aged for fourteen months, it's lighter and the sweet agave comes through more clearly. That makes it the most versatile of the three: smooth enough to sip neat, and with enough character for a cocktail where tequila takes center stage.
At a glance
Oak, caramel and cocoa
Soft oak
A soft wood note over sweet, cooked agave, with an initial hint of caramel.
Caramel and cocoa
Hints of caramel and cocoa with a silky texture. Fuller than the Blanco, without the wood overpowering the agave.
Smooth
A smooth, mellow finish with a lingering hint of oak.
Flavor profile of Casamigos Reposado neat, at room temperature. An ice cube makes it softer and sweeter.
How to taste and mix Reposado
Reposado is made to be enjoyed neat, without salt and lime. If you mix it, choose cocktails that let the wood play a part.
Tasting neat
Pour 3 to 4 cl into a tulip-shaped tasting glass. Let it sit for a few minutes, smell it first, then take a small sip. Hold it in your mouth for a moment: that brings out the caramel and cocoa.
