Chivas Regal Mizunara
Scotch whisky with a Japanese twist. Partly matured in mizunara oak casks, creating a blend with pear, white peach and orange, and a spicy cedar finish. Lovely neat, even better as a highball.

A Scot in Japanese oak
Mizunara is a rare type of Japanese oak. Japanese whisky makers use the wood to give their whisky a distinctive, lightly spicy character, with notes of cedar. Inspired by this tradition, Chivas Regal matured part of this blend in mizunara casks. The whisky was originally developed for the Japanese market.
Beneath the Japanese wood, it’s still Chivas: a Speyside Scotch blend at 40%. The difference from the 12 Years is in the finish. While the 12 tastes of honey and apple, Mizunara is fruitier and fresher, with pear, orange and white peach, and finishes spicier.

The Japanese way: highball
In Japan, whisky is often enjoyed as a long drink, with ice and carbonation. That’s a natural fit for a whisky that nods to Japanese oak.
