Jack Daniel's Bonded
The strongest Jack in the core range. One distillery, one distilling season, at least four years in barrels, and bottled at 50%: full and rich, with brown sugar and nuts.

What does bottled in bond mean?
Bottled in bond is an American quality standard with four requirements. The whiskey comes from a single distillery, in this case Jack Daniel's in Lynchburg. It's distilled in a single distilling season. It's aged for at least four years. And it's bottled at a minimum of 50% alcohol. Jack Daniel's Bonded meets all four requirements.
Otherwise, it's just Jack: sour mash, filtered through three meters of sugar maple charcoal over about ten days, and aged in new, charred oak barrels. The difference is the proof. With 10 percentage points more alcohol than Old No. 7, it's fuller and richer, with brown sugar and nuts, and stands up in cocktails where regular Jack disappears.
In a nutshell
Full, rich and bold
Brown sugar
Dark brown sugar sweetness with nuts and the signature Jack Daniel's vanilla underneath. You can feel the higher proof already on the nose.
Full and rich
Fuller and thicker than Old No. 7. Sweet and nutty, with more warmth and more barrel spice.
Long and warm
A long, warm finish. A few drops of water soften it and bring out the notes.
Flavor profile of Jack Daniel's Bonded neat. A splash of water tames the 50% and opens up the aromas.
How to get the most out of 50%
Bonded is strong enough to experiment with water. Taste it neat first, then with a few drops of water, and use it in cocktails that need body.
Neat, then with water
Pour 3 cl into a tulip-shaped glass and take a small first sip. Then add a teaspoon of cold water and taste again: the alcohol subsides, bringing out the brown sugar and nuts.
Tasting glasses →In a Manhattan
50 ml Bonded, 25 ml sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of bitters, stirred over ice and strained into a chilled coupe. At 50%, the whiskey stays in charge of the vermouth.

40 ml over one large ice cube in a heavy tumbler. The meltwater does what water does in a tasting glass, only more slowly: each sip gets a little smoother.
Tumblers →Bold classics with Bonded
A 50% whiskey is made for recipes with vermouth, bitters, or lemon, where a lighter whiskey would get lost.

Manhattan
Whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters. Bonded gives it body and a long finish.
Boulevardier
Whiskey, sweet vermouth, and Campari. The brown sugar balances the bitterness.
Paper Plane
Whiskey, Aperol, amaro, and lemon in equal parts. Bold and refreshing at the same time.
Whiskey Sour
Whiskey, lemon, sugar, and egg white. At 50%, you can still taste the whiskey through the sourness.More Jack Daniel's flavors
