Look at the capacity first. Thirty-seven centilitres means you pour to about a third, so around 12 cl per glass, with enough air above the wine for the aroma to build. If you want more room for a robust red, a larger bowl from the red wine glasses is a better choice. Then pick the colour: a single tone across the whole table looks formal, a mix of amber and mint keeps things relaxed. All three versions share the same shape and height, so they also combine with the other coloured glasses.

Hold the glass by the stem rather than the bowl, otherwise the wine warms up from the heat of your hand. Serve white wine cool and top up in smaller measures; red wine can happily sit in the glass for a while. The same 37 cl is also pleasant for a spritz with plenty of ice: for an Aperol Spritz or a Hugo spritz the bowl is roomy enough for ice, bubbles and a slice of fruit. For a jug of sangria the coloured versions work well.

Ralph is machine-pressed soda-lime glass with an applied stem. The colour is in the glass mass, so it does not fade and does not wash out. Place the glasses in the dishwasher so the bowls do not touch; with a stemmed glass, damage usually happens because two bowls tap against each other during the cycle. Let them drain upside down on a cloth rather than towelling them dry while warm, and you will avoid streaks on the bowl.
