This solid wood cutting board from Bar Professional combines two types of wood into a board with a distinctive two-tone pattern. With a work surface measuring 40 by 30 cm and a thickness of 5 cm, you have plenty of room to pre-cut limes, oranges, mint and other garnishes, while its weight keeps the board firmly in place. You can just as easily use it as a serving board for cheese, charcuterie or snacks, as the warm wood grain looks beautiful on the table.
Thick, heavy and gentle on your knives
Five centimetres of solid wood offers a completely different experience from a thin board: the wood absorbs the impact of the knife, dampens the sound and keeps your blade sharper for longer than plastic or glass ever could. Since the board weighs over four kilos, it does not slide around while you work. The two-tone design with contrasting wood sections also makes every piece slightly different, giving you a board that looks like a true piece of craftsmanship.
How to keep your board looking beautiful for years
Wood does not belong in the dishwasher: clean the board with a damp cloth and mild soapy water, then let it dry upright. Treat the surface occasionally with a little special wood oil to keep the colour rich and the wood water-repellent.
