Onis Envy

The 20.7 cl tumbler is the size for water, juice and soft drinks at the table. It is small enough to top up often, which drinks better than a half-empty large glass going lukewarm. The 29 cl long drink glass is meant for mixed drinks with ice: count on roughly one third ice, one third spirits with fruit and one third soft drink. Keep an eye on the thickness of the base if you plan to stack, because thin bases chip more easily. Compare in the tumblers and the long drink glasses.

Build a long drink in the glass itself: ice first, then the spirit, then the soft drink. Hardly any stirring is needed afterwards, because pouring mixes it enough already. For a dark 'n stormy you pour the dark rum over the ginger beer last instead, so the layer stays visible. A bramble belongs in the small tumbler over crushed ice, and you shake it cold in a cocktail shaker before pouring it out.

Onis tempers the rim of these glasses separately, which makes the top more resistant to knocks than ordinary pressed glass. In the dishwasher the clarity lasts longest if you rinse with softened water, because limescale settles as a grey haze that polishing will not remove. Keep stacks to four glasses at most, otherwise the bottom glass carries more weight than the wall can take.
