Onis Cidra

Start with the capacity. The 22 cl tumbler is small and intended for juice at breakfast or a short glass of water. The 33.3 cl glass with the thick rim is the sturdiest choice and holds up longest on a busy terrace. The 37 cl is the standard size for soft drinks, cider, and light beer, and it is also the size available in colors. The 39 cl gives you room for extra ice. If you really want volume, for example for cocktails with lots of juice or soda, choose the 55 cl highball glass. For more options, see the tumbler glasses and the colored glasses.

For cider and light beer, pour at an angle and aim at the side of the glass so the carbonation stays in the drink instead of ending up in the head. For soft drinks with ice, fill the glass with cubes first and then pour slowly, otherwise it will fizz over the rim. The 55 cl long drink glass is exactly the right size for a Cuba Libre or a mojito with plenty of ice and mint. A colored glass needs little garnish; a lime wheel is enough.

Onis makes Cidra to hospitality standard, with a weighted base and a hardened rim. Those are exactly the places where glasses normally break: while clearing tables and stacking in the rack. The colour is in the glass itself and so does not wash out. The range is dishwasher safe and is built to go through hundreds of cycles without turning dull or losing colour.
