Schott Zwiesel For You

First decide what kind of occasion you want to suit. For someone who mainly drinks red wine there are two glasses: a 63 cl Burgundy glass for Pinot Noir and a 60.6 cl red wine glass for fuller-bodied bottles. For white wine there is the 36.8 cl glass, which is smaller so the wine stays cold. The champagne glass holds 21 cl and has a nucleation point. If the recipient prefers beer, the 30 cl beer tumbler is a pleasant alternative to a classic pilsner glass. The 43 cl all-purpose tumbler and the shot glass holding 7.5 cl complete the range.

Fill a wine glass to just below its widest point and leave the rest of the glass empty, as that is where the aroma collects. The 40 cl whisky glass has a thick base and a wide opening, exactly what an old fashioned needs. The 7.5 cl shot glass is on the generous side for a classic shot, which works well for layered shots where you carefully pour the liqueur over a spoon. Pour the beer tumbler at an angle and straighten it toward the end.

Every model is made of Tritan crystal glass, the lead-free glass from Schott Zwiesel with titanium and zirconium. That makes the rim and the stem dishwasher-proof, even with daily use. Wash the glasses apart from one another and let them dry upright. If you are giving them as a gift, keep the gift box: the glasses sit safely in it when they are not in use.

If you prefer a set of six so you can set a larger table, take a look at the full range of Schott Zwiesel. For a beer-themed gift, the beer glasses category offers more than just this one tumbler. And if you’re giving a bottle as well as the glass, you might as well include it right away, because a gift you open together simply works better than a box that ends up unopened in the cupboard.
