The low glasses are old-fashioned-style tumblers. The 23.8 cl glass is intended for neat spirits or with a single ice cube, while the 30.9 cl glass accommodates a large cube that melts slowly and therefore dilutes your drink less. At the old-fashioned glasses you can see how these sizes compare with other series. The tall glasses work the same way: 24.7 cl for a short mixed drink and 30.5 cl for a full gin and tonic with plenty of ice. The 5.5 cl shot glass is slightly more generous than a classic 3.5 cl shot. If desired, compare it with the highball glasses.

Stemless glasses are made for drinks you build directly in the glass. Fill it first with ice, then the spirit, then the mixer down the side so you don’t pour away the bubbles. A gin and tonic and a Moscow mule fit perfectly in the 30.5 cl glass. An old fashioned is stirred in a mixing glass and strained over a fresh cube in the low tumbler, because half-melted ice dilutes the rest of your drink.

A heavy base and a thin rim call for attention when temperatures differ. Do not fill a glass straight from the dishwasher with ice, because the base reacts more slowly than the wall. Beyond that this series is straightforward: lead-free crystal glass, dishwasher safe on a short programme and without a stem that can break. Do place the glasses separately in the rack.

All low-profile models without stems are grouped under the tumbler glasses, where you will also find the heavier whisky glasses with a solid base.
