Arcoroc Domaine

Domaine comes in three capacities, and the choice depends on the wine you serve most often. The 27 cl glass is the compact size for white wine: you pour a modest amount, the wine stays cool, and it is finished before it gets lukewarm. The 37 cl is the all-rounder that works equally well for white and red wine. The 47 cl is the bowl for red wine, with room above the liquid to swirl without spilling. All three come in sets of six. If you prefer to choose by wine type, you can find the full range under red wine glasses and white wine glasses.

Pour a Domaine up to the widest point of the bowl, but no higher. In the 47 cl glass, that means about one-third full, giving the wine room to breathe while keeping the aromas suspended above it. With the 27 cl glass, you can pour a little more generously, since you want to drink white wine fairly quickly. The stem is there to hold: wrapping your hand around the bowl warms the wine faster than you might think. The same bowl also works perfectly for an Aperol Spritz or a glass of sangria.

Tempered glass is not unbreakable, but it copes with knocks and temperature swings better than ordinary soda-lime glass. That is why Domaine can simply go in the dishwasher, including a commercial machine that runs hundreds of cycles a week. Place the glasses apart in the rack so the bowls do not touch, because rims tapping against each other are the most common cause of damage. Let them drain upside down and polish them with a dry cloth afterwards if you want to avoid limescale streaks.

Looking for a finer glass or a more specific wine glass? Then take a look at the broader selection of wine glasses. If you prefer to stick with this brand, you’ll find the complete range at Arcoroc, from tumblers to beer glasses. If you often have a bottle left over, wine stoppers are the accessory that offers the most benefit. Still unsure which size to choose? Start with the 37 cl: it’s the set that most often remains on the table in most households.
