This Drinking cocktail cup from Bar Professional’s Speakeasy line holds 50 cl and has a copper-colored finish. A straight-sided cup without a handle, for long drinks and cocktails served with plenty of ice.
What to use this cup for
Fifty centiliters gives you room for a generous scoop of ice while still providing enough volume for a gin and tonic, mule, or highball. The fuller the ice, the more slowly it melts: a cup filled to the rim with cubes dilutes less than one with three loose ice cubes. The straight sides make the cup easy to organize in storage and easy to pour from. Build the drink directly in the cup and stir briefly with a long bar spoon.
Choosing and maintaining it
A colored finish requires hand-washing: lukewarm soapy water, a soft cloth, and immediate drying help keep the copper color even. Do not leave the cups in the sink and do not use abrasive cleaners.
