This is the slim, large bowl from the Exquisit series: a 65-centilitre capacity, 22.2 centimetres tall, but with a narrow diameter of just 7.3 centimetres. This combination produces a tall, slender glass in which the wine sits deep in the bowl. Full-bodied red wines with firm tannins, such as Cabernet Sauvignon or Syrah, shine in this glass because the narrow opening directs the aromas upwards in a concentrated stream instead of allowing them to spread out widely.
Not to be confused with the wide 64.5 cl version
The Exquisit series also includes a 64.5-centilitre bowl. Almost the same capacity, but with a 9.8-centimetre bowl, it is a completely different glass: wider, rounder and designed for maximum contact with air. If you are looking for that Burgundy style, choose that version. If you prefer concentration and height, this model is the right choice. Both are clearly displayed next to each other in the Stölzle Lausitz Exquisit collection.
Practical information
The glass is made of lead-free crystal glass, has thin walls and a reinforced rim. It is dishwasher-safe and suitable for professional dishwashers, so you do not have to wash it by hand.
