Fifty-nine centiliters is the large bowl of the Magnifico series, designed for full-bodied red wines. Four glasses with a thin wall that makes their size surprisingly light in the hand.
Large glass, little weight
With large bowls, the risk lies in the wall: if it is made thicker to support the volume, the glass feels cumbersome. Luigi Bormioli keeps the wall thin here, so you feel barely any resistance when swirling. That not only makes it more comfortable to hold, but also means the rim is less noticeable when drinking. Fill it to about a quarter full and let the rest provide room for air.
Four glasses for characterful red wine
