Seventy centiliters is the largest Balloon model in the Cabernet range. Fill a bowl of this size no more than a quarter full; the rest is working space for the wine.
For the special bottle
With Burgundy, Barolo, and older Bordeaux, the benefit of a large bowl is greatest. You can swirl the wine generously without spilling, while the aromas remain suspended above the surface. Other bowl shapes from the same range can be found in the Cabernet series. Do bear the height in mind: not every kitchen cabinet has room for this model.
Large glass, strong material
Large bowls are fragile; Kwarx makes them considerably less breakable than ordinary crystal glass, while retaining comparable clarity.
