This gold-colored stopper from Bar Professional reseals both an opened bottle of wine and a bottle of champagne airtight. It is a clamp stopper: place it over the neck, fold the two clips downward, and they grip beneath the rim of the bottle neck. This allows it to withstand pressure from carbon dioxide still present in the bottle—something an ordinary cork or silicone stopper quickly fails to do. When you reopen the bottle the next day, the bubbles are still there. It works just as well for still wine, keeping oxygen out so the wine does not go flat within an evening. The gold-plated steel housing gives it a distinctive appearance that suits a bottle left on the table or in the cooler.
