If you work with large ice blocks or clear ice, you want a tool that breaks the ice where you want it to, not where it happens to crack. This Bar Professional ice pick has three stainless steel points that grip the ice side by side, allowing you to split a block into even pieces with a short, controlled tap. The wooden handle feels warm and secure in your hand and provides a firm grip, even when your hands are wet from melting water. The Japanese design is intentionally minimalist: no hinges, no plastic parts, just steel and wood.
From ice block to perfect ice ball
With three points instead of one, you distribute the force over a wider surface, so the ice breaks predictably instead of shattering. Use the pick to reduce a large block to manageable chunks, then shape them into an ice ball or a neat cube for a whisky or a negroni.
